Our Commitment to Accuracy
At DailyEggRates.in, our entire mission is built on one word: Trust. We understand that our usersβfrom individual consumers to large-scale tradersβrely on our data to make informed decisions. That's why we have established a rigorous, multi-step process to ensure the information we provide is the most accurate, fresh, and transparently sourced data available.
Our Primary Data Sources
We do not generate our own prices. We are a data aggregation and presentation platform. Our strength lies in consolidating data from official, recognized sources.
1. National Egg Co-ordination Committee (NECC)
The NECC is our primary and most critical data source. As the central body for the Indian poultry industry, their declared prices serve as the benchmark for markets across the country. Our systems are designed to capture the daily declared rates from NECC for all major zones.
2. Regional Mandis and Poultry Associations
We recognize that local market dynamics can cause variations. To provide a more granular view, we also monitor data from key regional wholesale markets (mandis) and state-level poultry farmer associations, especially in major production hubs like Barwala, Namakkal, and Hyderabad.
The Data Pipeline: From Source to Your Screen
Our process ensures data integrity at every step:
- Data Fetching: Our automated systems query our primary sources at regular, frequent intervals throughout the day to check for any new price declarations.
- Parsing & Validation: The raw data is parsed and cross-referenced. Our system checks for anomalies or errors. Any data that falls outside expected parameters is flagged for manual review by our data team.
- Normalization: Prices are standardized to a "per 100 eggs" format to allow for accurate comparisons across all regions. From this base rate, we calculate the prices for pieces, dozens, and trays.
- Display & Freshness: Once validated, the data is instantly published to the relevant page on our website. The "Last Updated" timestamp you see is a real-time reflection of when the most recent, accurate data point was confirmed in our system.
Understanding Price Breakdowns
You may notice different price tiers on our site. Here's what they mean:
- NECC Price: The baseline rate suggested by the NECC.
- Wholesale Price: The rate typically available for bulk purchases at a mandi. This is often very close to the NECC price.
- Retail Price: The estimated price you would pay at a local general store, which includes the retailer's margin.
- Supermarket Price: The price at larger chain supermarkets, which may include additional costs for grading, packaging, and branding.
